ATLANTA,GA- The Eaton for PSC campaign rolled on to another convincing pre-primary victory yesterday in Cobb County. Eaton has now won both major straw polls held during this election. Over 1,000 conservative Republican activists gathered in Marietta to celebrate our nation's independence, hear from the various Republican candidates and vote in a straw poll. Chuck Eaton won the PSC race with over 69% of the vote in the poll conducted by the Cobb County GOP. Eaton said, "I'm very thankful to have the backing of so many GOP stalwarts. It's especially important to have the support of the Republican base in the down-ballot statewide race for the Public Service Commission." During his speech to the Republican crowd, Eaton discussed Georgia's soaring energy costs and the fact that Georgia homeowners are paying 35% above the national average for natural gas. Chuck Eaton also stated he had the right mix of political and business experience to defeat incumbent Democrat David Burgess in the November election. The vote totals were as follows: Chuck Eaton 192 votes and his Primary opponent 85 votes. # # #
