The Facts:

In 1999, when the incumbent joined the PSC, Georgians paid 34% less then the national average for their natural gas. Today, we pay 51% above the national average.*

Chuck's Plan:

New Fuel Sources: Georgia depends on gas sources easily disrupted by hurricanes and other storms. Chuck supports efforts to upgrade the Port of Savannah's LNG facilities, making Georgia a national leader in liquefied natural gas off-loading and giving us alternative natural gas supplies when seasonal storms hit the Gulf Coast.

Make Georgia a Leader in Emerging Fuel Technology: Georgia has unmatched agricultural resources for making emerging energy like bio-diesel, ethanol, and other clean, renewable "natural" energy sources.

Performance Based Rate-Making: Chuck will push for incentives to make Georgia utilities more efficient and deliver savings for Georgia consumers.
