A Dedicated Conservative
Chuck Eaton is a successful businessman. He is currently a Realtor in Atlanta, was an Account Executive for a packaging manufacturer in LaGrange, and has an Accounting degree from the University of Alabama. His business background is what makes him ideally suited to serve the citizens of Georgia on the Public Service Commission.
Chuck has a strong sense of community service. He is the past President of the Buckhead Forest Civic Association and a former representative to the Atlanta Neighborhood Planning Unit “B” (a citizen group which makes recommendations on zoning, land use, public safety and community issues). In Troup County he served on the Board of Directors for Troup Haven House (a children’s shelter). He was a Republican candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives in 2004.
He’s been involved in the political process for a long time and is firmly committed to the idea of conservative government. In 1992, Chuck served as Republican Congressman Phil Crane's Deputy Campaign Manager. Under Congressman Crane, Chuck learned that limited government is the foundation of our Country and allows entrepreneurialism and innovation to flourish.
Chuck was Troup County Representative Jeff Brown's Campaign Manager in 1994 - defeating a five-term Democrat incumbent. Two years later, in 1996, Chuck again served as Rep. Brown's Campaign Manager as they held the seat against a Democrat challenger.
He was a Troup County Chairman of the Barr for Congress Campaign in 1994. Chuck worked with the campaign all the way through the defeat of the incumbent and the Republican takeover of the US House of Representatives.
Chuck currently serves as a Vice-Chairman of the Fulton County Republican Party. He was a Delegate to Georgia Republican Conventions in 1993, 1995, 1997, and 2005 and the Fulton County Republican Convention in 2001, 2004, and 2005. He Chaired the Troup County Republican Conventions in 1995 and 1997.
He lives in Atlanta with his wife Erika who is pregnant with their first child. Erika is dedicated to serving her community through the Junior League and its many charities. She is chair of one committee and serves on another one.
When not working or volunteering his time, Chuck enjoys playing golf, target shooting, and boating with his family on Lake Lanier.
Chuck is a member of the Buckhead 50 Club, Woodruff Arts Center Friends, and the Atlanta History Center. He is a graduate of the Coverdell Leadership Institute (a statewide organization founded by late U.S. Senator Paul D. Coverdell to strengthen leadership and political skills).
